Privacy Notice

This notice describes what information sixgates.com collects and how it is used. We keep this deliberately small: the site is an informational marketing site, and we collect only what is needed to respond to you and to keep the site running.

What we collect

Contact form. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit, so we can reply. We do not require an account.
Server logs. Our web server records standard request data (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and reliability. These are not used to build advertising profiles.
Student seats. Checkout for a discounted student seat also asks for your university and your university email address. We use them for one purpose — confirming that the discount applies — and we do so after payment, when we send your welcome email. If we cannot confirm it, we refund you in full. We do not contact your university.
No tracking cookies. The site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner because it does not need consent for tracking it does not do.

Service providers

Payments — Stripe. Course registration and payment are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout pages. Stripe collects your name, email address, billing address, organization, and payment details, and shares with us everything except your full payment card number — card details are never sent to, processed by, or stored on our servers. We use what Stripe passes to us to confirm your seat, send course information, and keep our financial records. Stripe processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
Email delivery — Resend. Contact-form submissions are delivered to our inbox through Resend, an email API provider. Your message and email address transit Resend for that purpose.
Analytics — Cloudflare Web Analytics. We use Cloudflare's privacy-first, cookieless analytics for aggregate visit counts, referrers, and country. It does not fingerprint or track individuals across sites.
Hosting — DigitalOcean. The site is served from a DigitalOcean server.
Fonts — self-hosted. The Inter typeface is served from our own server. The site makes no third-party font requests, so rendering the page does not send your IP or browser data to any font provider.

How we use it

We use course registration data to confirm and administer your seat: to send joining details and pre-course material, to plan the room and catering for onsite cohorts, to raise invoices, and to keep the financial records we are required to keep. We use contact-form data solely to respond to your inquiry and follow up about a possible engagement. We use logs and analytics to operate, secure, and improve the site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Retention

Course registration and payment records are kept for as long as we are required to keep financial and tax records. We keep contact correspondence only as long as needed for the conversation and our records. Server logs and analytics are retained on a rolling, limited basis.

To ask what we hold about you, or to request deletion of your contact correspondence, email hello@sixgates.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
